The Sacred Heart Canossian College Alumni Association (Ontario) Chapter held their Annual Dinner at Diamond Banquet Hall, Ontario on 2 October.
Here's a sharing of the evening from one of the youngest participants, Tiffany Wong:
"I left SHCC after Form 3 in 2010. Although I've only spent 8 years in SHCSPS and SHCC, I always have a strong sense of belonging to the school. Attending the dinner brought me back so many memorable moments.
During my days in school, I made many precious bonds with teachers and schoolmates, and had a variety of valuable experiences such as participating in the school choir, table tennis team, art club, home management club and much more. I also shouldered responsibilities like being the discipline prefect and a Guidance Sister. Those days were tough and busy but surely some of the best years of my life.
After coming to Canada, I haven't been to my Alma Mater for the past six years. Having the chance to sing our school song again and listening to all the stories from fellow alumnae made me feel like a home far away from home. I've learnt new knowledge about the school, such as the fun fact that we accepted boys for a short period of time. I also got to know stories about the old campus and the changes of the school through the years.
This is my first time attending the alumnae dinner, and I am grateful to come close and hold our school flag for the first time ever I've been away from SHCC.
