
Alumnae Manager Nomination (2021-2023)
Eligibility of candidates:
§
She
must be an alumna of the College.
§
She
should not be a serving teacher of the College nor be currently serving on The
IMC of the College in another capacity or participating in another election
under other categories of school manager.
§
She
should not be in any condition that the Permanent Secretary for Education may
refuse to register as a school manager as set out in section 30 of the
Education Ordinance (Cap.279)
§
Note: according to clause 20(b) of the
SHCCAA Constitution, an Alumnae Manager may serve two consecutive terms, after
which she may be re-nominated after the lapse of one school year.
How to nominate:
§
Every
ordinary member can nominate one (1) alumna including the nominator herself. Each nominee must be seconded by at least two
(2) other ordinary members.
§
Each
nomination must be made by completing the attached nomination form and accompanied
with the following supporting documents (“Supporting Documents”):
(i)
A
brief statement from the nominee of her personal information to support the
nomination;
(ii)
A
declaration by the nominee of her eligibility for the candidacy of Alumnae Manager
as outlined above; and
(iii)
Document(s)
annexed to the said declaration showing the nominee an alumna of SHCC, for
example graduation certificate, student ID card of SHCC and school report card.
§
The completed nomination form together with the
Supporting Documents shall be hand delivered in hard copy to the School Office on
or before 4 pm, 20 April 2021 (Tuesday). Acknowledgement receipt will be provided upon
submission.
Nomination period:
§ The nomination period is from 7 to 20 April 2021.
§ If at the end of this two-week nomination period there is no nominee, the
nomination period shall be extended for 7 days.
In such a case, requisite notice would be given on the AA website.
§ If at the end of the extended nomination period, there is no nominee for
Alumnae Manager, the IMC may nominate an alumna for registration as Alumnae
Manager as may be provided in its constitution.
§ Results of the nominations would be posted on this
website in due course.
Date of voting:
§
Subject
to the number of nominations made within the nomination period, the date of
voting (referred to as “the election”) would be held between 6-7pm, 18 May 2021 (Tuesday)
at Sacred Heart Canossian College, 2 Chi
Fu Close, Pokfulam, Hong Kong.
§
If the nomination period is
extended and there is/are nominee(s) for Alumnae
Manager, the election would be postponed to 25 May 2021 (Tuesday).
§
Where, however, only one
nomination is made at the end of the nomination period, that nominee shall
automatically be elected at the end of the nomination period and no voting
shall be required
and thus no election would be held. In
this connection, notice would be given in due course whether voting shall be
required.
Counting of votes:
Where election is required, the counting of votes would be conducted on the
same day and may be witnessed by any member of the AA,
any candidate, principal and supervisor of SHCC.
Date of announcement of results:
The results of the election would be
announced on this website within 7 days of the voting day or within 7 days of the end of nomination period if only one nomination is made at the end of the nomination period.

procedures would be provided on this website where election is deemed
